The Hypro-Crush DRC series is a British engineered product designed for high speed production of fine minerals and can efficiently process both hard and soft materials.

The main frame is of steel fabrication, accurately machined to accept the roller and drive shaft bearing housings and adjustment mechanism. Roller shafts are alloy steel forgings, machined to accept the roller support hubs connected by keys and the spherical roller bearings. The crushing roll shells are manufactured from wear resistant manganese steel castings with either plain or serrated surfaces depending on the application.

The primary drive is via Vee belts to the drive shaft with cast steel spur reduction gears contained in a fully enclosed oil bath. The secondary roll is positively driven by heavy duty tyres. The tyre pressures are varied to suit the roll centre adjustment.

Large springs of high quality steel counteract the crushing forces and allow release of uncrushable objects. A shear type safety device is incorporated to protect the machine against severe overload conditions.
